For the longest time I had no idea what to put on this page. I still don’t.
My name is Phoebe Yu and I’m a Cornell senior, hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia. I was born in Beijing, lived in Germany, grew up in Canada, and am currently studying Industrial and Labor Relations at a quaint town called Ithaca in upstate NY Bumblefuck, Nowhere. I’m heading to New York City after graduation, but if that doesn’t work out, my backup plan is world domination (backup to backup is a athletic career in curling, with a bakery business on the side).
My motto is will blog for food, fame, and fortune, in that order.

How long have you been blogging?
Too long, apparently. Well 2005, to be exact. Remember how innocent we all were back then? One prominent blog I’ve had in the past few years is IB Years (now defunct), which chronicled my journey through hell, a community-oriented, internationally-minded, academically-rigorous program that *cough* fulfilled my pursuit of knowledge and excellence. I still have the scars to prove it. In 2008, I blogged for my old university, which was sort of a successful and amazing experience that *some* claim catapulted me into the status of a campus celebrity. Celebrity or not, I did have the opportunity to meet many wonderful readers who were very supportive of the blog.
What is the meaning of life?
42, if you’re a giant computer. 2400, if you’re an overachieving student applying to universities. 7, if you simply believe your acceptance letter to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has been delayed and you’re only going to Cornell until that letter gets personally delivered by Alan Rickman… er… Professor Snape.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell?
The fact that it has a fabulous and fun student population, an outstanding world-class faculty, a diverse range of student organizations, a school called ILR, a stunning campus, and opportunities for everyone, no matter what our backgrounds are.
